Julian treats a much-loved moggie with a badly swollen eye where surgery might be the only option. When one of the staff's own pets becomes sick there's only one place to go. Head Nurse Sarah is extremely worried about her own dog, Copper, who is off his food, losing weight and going downhill fast. Julian steps in to find out what has gone wrong for Copper.

There's peril in the pig pen as he risks life and limb to inject a ferocious porker and a mystery to solve with stud alpaca Lothario, who's so far failed to live up to his namesake's reputation.

Julian is called out to a late-night life-or-death emergency to help a cow that is struggling to deliver a huge calf.

The Yorkshire Vet is called to an emergency down on the farm where semi-retired farmers, The Peckitt's have a cow suffering from an excruciatingly painful and life-threatening condition, bloat. It takes all Julian's skills to perform the procedure needed to relieve heavily pregnant Bluebell ready for the imminent birth of her calf.

Julian is called out to a local petting farm to help a bad-tempered goat with a suspected broken leg - but the goat is not keen on getting treatment!

Skeldale Student vet Molly turns to the Yorkshire vet for help as she brings in her cat Marlo who appears to have been shot in the head. Julian has to perform emergency surgery.
