Annabel escapes the city and returns to her hometown of Maanhaarsdrift in the Karoo where her father Frans and sister Ragel-Lee still lives.

A mole infestation has the whole town in upheaval. While Annabel is busy investigating something traumatic in the town's past, she receives shocking news.

A group of motorcycles drive into town and Gina knows one of them very well. Lettie reads Ivy's teacup and sees something that threatens the town. Annabel continues to dig into Maanhaarsdrift's history.

Frans wakes up in an uncomfortable situation after a jolly evening at the "Piering". Riots spread over the country and minister Behle is very upset about how close Annabel comes to the truth.

Ruan and Luan's biggest hero, "Kwêla" host, Hannes van Wyk, visits the town. Ivy lets a secret out in an interview, and Lukas finds his muse.

Peter and his family are being intimidated by minister Behle. The townsfolk are angry at Ivy over her statements on "Kwêla". Ruan and Luan take tour groups to Kasper's vantage point.

Luan and Ruan's plans to go to Cape Town for the gay pride march are interrupted by an unexpected confession. Frans launches an alternative campaign to promote his Putt-Putt course.

A storm wind blows through town. Annabel's investigation about the missing boys deepens, and so does Stian's feelings for her. Luan tries to straighten things out with Ruan.

Randall's son comes for a visit to Maanhaarsdrift. A date between Stian and Annabel goes awry. Charlie arrives in town, and Peter pays Annabel a surprise visit.

Annabel's flat in the Cape was burgled, and she and Peter is convinced that Behle's behind it. There's an event at the "Piering" to celebrate the lunar eclipse.

Randall is still searching for Donovan. Annabel decides to return to Cape Town. Lettie suddenly resigns from "Die Ster" after she went too far with her Agony Aunt letters.

"Die Diens" office in Cape Town is vandalised just before the final article about Global Oil & Gas is published. Ruan and Luan are busy getting things ready for an important visitor.

Annabel is convinced that Peter is in trouble and that Behle is on her trail. Luan and Ruan drive to Cape Town to pick up Yvonne, but they receive terrible news.
