Conway Bowman takes the reigns as the face of Fly Fishing the World and where better to make the introductions than his home waters in San Diego, where Conway targets his favorite quarry, the deadly shortfin mako shark and'carp?

During the flood of 2011, the fishing communities of the Northern Rockies were left with empty boat ramps, bars, and businesses. Conway goes to assess the damage in a Montana trout-town, and braces a raging torrent to see if he can't still find fish willing to take a fly in the highest flows in over 20 years.

Host Conway Bowman gained fame as the pioneer of fly fishing for mako sharks off the coast of San Diego. He heads into his home waters to demonstrate how he learned to hook and land these merchants of death on fly tackle, all by himself.

Roosterfish off-the-beach is considered one of fly fishing's greatest thrills and challenges. Conway accepts an invitation from Fly Trex owner Doug Brady to explore a remote island with the man that started it all in the Baja, Gran Hartmann.

Endangered throughout much of their historic range, the bull trout is top predator in the few remaining pristine, freshwater rivers wherer these indigenous char stilll thrive. Oregon's Metolius River is one such place and where Conway finds a group of bull trout devotees to show him the finer points of presenting cat-sized streamers patterns to dog-sized fish in a gin-clear spring creek.

An eclectic, isolated, island community surrounded by a sight-fishing paradise of endless azure flats; no, this isn't the Bahamas, Belize, or Boca Paila, but a hidden gem in the most unlikely of places within easy reach - no passport required!
