In the 17th-century Basque mountains, Kattalin flees her violent husband, escaping into the night. Lost in the dark forest, she senses a sinister presence pursuing her. She meets three enigmatic women washing clothes by the river, sharing scary tales and village gossip filled with Basque mythical beings.
