The Fragrance of Happiness

After ten years of marriage to Ben, Pauline moves back in with her parents but refuses to accept their separation, seeing it as a temporary break. Determined to win him back, she writes him letters recalling their happiest moments, hoping to rekindle their love and convince him to return.

Encouraged by Dr Pasquier, the therapist she was advised to see by her brother, Pauline agrees to spend the holidays with her family in her sister's new home in Arcachon. Convinced that family secrets are at the root of her problems, she hopes to find answers. Instead, the stay leads her to rediscover her relatives and strengthen her bonds with them.

It is Ben's turn to write his memories to Pauline. While she focused only on the good times, he reminds her of the most difficult moments in their relationship. After denial and anger, Pauline is forced to confront the pain and the real reasons behind their separation.

Pauline and Ben finally face the drama they went through together. However, not all family secrets have been revealed, and a new event once again shakes the family. This moment could mark the end of Pauline's grieving for their relationship… or the beginning of a renewed future together.
