When Romeo attends a ball given by his family's enemy, the Capulets, he falls in love with Juliet, daughter of the house. They are wedded the next day by Friar Lawrence, who hopes to bring an end to the conflict between the families of Montague and Capulet. However, the feud is doomed to escalate, with tragic consequences for both sides.
