Wordsworth and Coleridge: Road Trip with Frank Skinner and Denise Mina

In this opening episode, Frank and Denise explore the beginnings of the greatest partnership in literary history. They travel to Bristol to see how Wordsworth and Coleridge first met as young radicals, in thrall to the French Revolution.

In this second episode, Wordsworth and Coleridge move to the Lake District to continue their poetic collaboration. They were to create some of their greatest work here - in a highly emotional scene, Frank explores the poem Michael, all about the destruction of rural life and the loss of a child.

Comedian Frank Skinner and writer Denise Mina follow in the footsteps of Wordsworth and Coleridge. In this final episode, the friendship of two decades between the poets descends into bitterness and acrimony. Coleridge succumbs to opium addiction, while Wordsworth grows tired of supporting his troubled creative partner.
