Married couple Helen and Phil are determined that Helen's sister Laura should get married.

Helen and Phil are determined that Laura and Mike get on, but this is not the case.

Laura and Mike meet simply to fill an empty Sunday afternoon and avoid a party.

A new romance buds for Laura, but gets nipped when she discovers the attractive man she met on a business trip is already over-committed. Mike's work also leads to a romantic disappointment that is coincidentally related to Laura's.
