シーズン2・Surf Girls: International follows five upcoming female surfers as they compete in the Challenger Series. They travel all over the world, representing their home countries while striving to get on the World Surf Tour. To develop as surfers they must overcome their own personal struggles, and deal with the challenges of the international spotlight. 

シーズン1・「アウターバンクス」の制作陣による新作「ザ･ランナラウンズ」は、平凡な未来から逃れるためバンドを結成した、高校を卒業したての若者たちの物語。彼らが夏の間、大ブレイクという不可能に近い夢を追いかけながら、恋をしたり、トラブルに巻き込まれたりしていく様を描く。
