Dr. Blue opens the clinic after Hurricane Harvey dumps over 30 inches of rain on the city of Houston, Texas. The doctors help animals affected by the storm while also dealing with the personal aftermath of the severe flooding.

The doctors are honored for their contributions to the community. Before the event, the clinic has animals in need of care, including a goat with a badly twisted leg and a bulldog rescued from a puppy mill.

Dr. Ross starts off the day with a trio of mischievous ferrets suffering from a skin condition. A German shepherd is diagnosed with an extremely large tumor, and her family is faced with difficult decisions during her treatment.

Dr. Blue takes a trip to a vegan cattle ranch turned animal sanctuary to castrate adult bulls. Tension runs high when a scary bulldozing occurs.

Dr. Ross attempts to diagnose Layla, a Lab with bizarre test results, while Dr. Lavigne performs knee surgery on a bulldog. A lamb, headed to the county fair, suddenly has breathing problems. Dr. Blue shops for a home aquarium.

Dr. Ross becomes a human jungle gym when six sugar gliders show off their best moves. Zorro, a one-year-old Chihuahua mix shocks Dr. Lavigne with heart trouble not typically seen in a young dog. The doctors go on a fishing trip.

Dr. Ross examines a Barred Owl that was hit by a car, but hopes to fly again. A dog who hasn't eaten in days is found to be hiding a big, fluffy secret. The vets visit an animal rescue center and see Texas wildlife.

Dr. Blue surprises his wife with a romantic wedding vow renewal in Las Vegas. A Schnauzer boarding at the clinic needs medical help. Dr. Ross treats an ornery parrot, and a senior dog with an eye mass visits Dr. Blue again.
