The Battle Off Samar Island took place October 25th. That day there were as many as a dozen film cameras on the aircraft carriers capturing the action. This documentary examines two short film clips and many still images in detail, placing them in the correct sequence and provides context with time stamps and diagrams showing their proper place in the battle.
