“Unplugged Nation,” follows couples and families who are looking to simplify their lives by moving from crowded cities to secluded, off-the-grid settings. After each family tours three “unplugged” properties, they test out the new lifestyle by living in one of the homes for four days, learning to harvest their own food, tend livestock, generate their own power and create their own home goods.
