George treats Louise to a trip to Hawaii---but his vacation grinds to a halt when he learns the Willises have preceded them. First of four parts.

The Willises' continued presence in Hawaii threatens to destroy George's plan for a dream vacation with Louise, but his dangerously high blood pressure begins to lower anyway, convincing him it might be healthy to stay in the islands -- permanently. As Florence sets about to fulfill her horoscope's prediction of true love, George happens on a lucrative investment opportunity.

Enthusiastic about his idea of remaining in Hawaii with Louise permanently, George tries to enlist Tom Willis' help to persuade her. To get on the good side of his "new" best friend Willis, George joins him aboard a rented sailboat, and the pair are soon precariously adrift on too much sea with too little seamanship.

George and Tom are washed ashore during an angry storm.

George woos hotel magnate Arthur Claymore to get his business. But Claymore offers Florence a well-paying executive job that includes awarding dry cleaning contracts. So George selfishly tries to persuade her to accept the job.

Florence is thrilled with her new job and new office, but she soon starts to agree with the hotel's insufferable manager that she doesn't have what it takes to be an executive.

The Jeffersons and the Willises are shocked to learn their children's marriage is in such a desperate state that Lionel is looking to sleep under a separate roof. The parents arrange for Lionel and Jenny to get together and discuss their problems, but the discussion may not lead to the agreement they expected.

George schemes to get Lionel to see a marriage counselor, hoping to end his son's separation from Jenny, but hardly expects the "extreme" advice the counselor has to offer.

George thinks the heroic man described in a newspaper story may be Louise's supposedly long-ago-deceased father, and he sets out to verify his suspicions -- against Louise's wishes. Louise doesn't want her fond memories of her father destroyed by the knowledge he may have abandoned the family.

Curiosity is killing George, but satisfying himself about what Louise so diligently records in her diary every night may leave him a lot worse off.

Tom and George compete in a marathon to see who's in better physical shape. But a careless remark sparks competition between Helen and Louise.

The "boys" big sporting night out goads the "girls" into taking a sporting night out of their own -- to an all-male strip show. Tom and George are outraged to learn where Helen and Louise have gone and set off on a mad dash to retrieve their "errant" spouses.

Florence swallows her pride and borrows money from George when her shady cousin Ernie claims to need $1000 to buy a record store and turn his life around.

George gets carried away playing Santa for the orphans at the Help Center and promises them they will get "anything" they want for Christmas. George find fulfilling his promise a cinch until one child asks for more than anyone may be able to deliver -- parents.

George and Louise secretly defy Lionel and Jenny to enter infant Jessica in a baby contest and manage to misplace the child in the process. George must stall Lionel and Jenny while Louise tries to retrieve Jessica and keep their escapades a secret.

The cast spoofs the "Who Shot J.R." episode of Dallas when Florence writes a soap opera spoof centering on a ruthless dry cleaning tycoon who mistreats everyone in his orbit and even goads someone into doing him an injury.

George's upcoming appearance on a local television talk show is jeopardized when the super-patriotic host learns he is sponsoring a Cuban refugee.

George's star bowler "strikes" out before the semi-finals in the bowling tournament and it's up to Tom -- who hasn't bowled in 30 years -- to save the day.

Louise learns her old home in Harlem is being torn down and takes off for a late-night visit to the house and a poignant rendezvous with the memories it contains. Louise sees herself as she was as a child, as a teenager (when she first knew George Jefferson), and as a bride-to-be.

Willis and the Jeffersons have an all-too-close encounter with a member of the Ku Klux Klan -- he's a new neighbor -- and someone may not live to tell about it.

George basks in the limelight after heroically saving an elderly woman from a mugger and capturing the thug, but he's soon looking for a dark place to hide when the man escapes custody and sets out to get even.

George is coerced into singing a love song to Louise when his "cash" Valentine's Day present is refused as "unfeeling."

George exaggerates his financial standing to gain membership in one of New York's most exclusive businessmen's clubs and finds himself over his head when, as his first act, he inadvertently pledges $100,000 to the club's building fund.

George searches for the right words to express his feelings in a eulogy for one of his employees -- the man died while George was firing him and it seems he was universally disliked.
