Kanata Rivington arrives in Japan from England with the intention of racing in a relatively new motorsports category that's taken the world by storm: MFG.

Kanata begins his qualifying run around the 40 kilometer-long Odawara Pikes Peak, aiming to set a quick time. But with a seriously underpowered car compared to his rivals, how high up the leaderboard can he get?

Impressing everyone with his drifting abilities, Kanata aims to finish his qualifying lap with a flourish. But with a long straight just before the line exposing his car's deficiencies, will he make it into the race proper?

Ren and Kanata continue their tour of Kamakura in the hopes of finding the place where Kanata's parents took their photograph together.

The two-lap race of Odawara Pikes Peak is underway. With his tires now up to temperature, can Kanata start making his way through the field despite his power disadvantage?

Kanata zooms up to the back of the Yashi-Kita Gang in no time, but getting past them is another matter entirely. Meanwhile, the two leaders go wheel-to-wheel for the lead of the race.

While everyone is suitably impressed with what Kanata is achieving, there are battles up and down the field, and it quickly becomes apparent that the 86 isn't the only car the MFG viewers should be keeping a close eye on.

On the approach to the death zone for the second time, Kanata starts to make his move. But does he have enough life left in his tires to climb up the order?

After making up a bunch of places in the death zone, Kanata enters the final sector, but with the long straight at the end of the lap highlighting the 86's main weakness, can he hold on to his current position all the way to the checkered flag?

Kanata managed to haul the 86 up to unexpected heights at Odawara Pikes Peak, but the next race is on a course that is a lot flatter with fewer downhill sections where he can make up for his car's lack of power, so it's time to tune his ride!

Qualifying begins for the second race of the season, which is set to take place at Lake Ashinoko. With Kanata set to do his run on a later day, other drivers get their moment to shine.

Ren's mother discovers the secret to Kanata's prodigious talent and the two reminisce about his much-missed mother, Katherine. Meanwhile, Sawatari's monster lap has unsettled the drivers who are still yet to set a time.
