Tray wants to see the twins' birth video, and searching for it brings back emotional memories for Shay.

Tray finds part-time work in the cafeteria of the kids' school and finds himself more determined than ever to make it as a chef. Shay straightens Josh out after he tells her that sometimes she "goes off" and scares white people.

Shay rededicates a neighborhood landmark and reconnects with her old skate crew. Tray and Bobby get caught up helping an OWL (old white lady) in distress.

Bobby blows an important loan meeting for Tray, who has to reconsider his business relationship with his cousin. Shay drags Amira to a birthday party so she can spend time with her new friend Faith.

After Josh and Tray have very different experiences teaching Shahzad to drive, he learns a hard lesson about privilege.

Shahzad is mesmerized after Tray takes him to his old barbershop. Shahzad wants to be a barber but that leaves Josh wondering about his future. Meanwhile, Shay prepares for Fashion Week at Copeland's, but has to make time address Amira's recent provocative behavior.

Josh is robbed after helping Tray on the first opening day of the food truck. Tray is confronted by BAMF, the culprit and a hustler who taxes businesses and food trucks in Brooklyn and tries to mitigate the situation the O.G. way.

On Mother's Day, Tray attempts to make amends with his mother, who threw him out the house 30 years ago for selling crack. Rose Barker, Tray's mother, only agrees to reestablish their relationship with the promise to meet her grandkids for the first time - only without Shay's approval.

After quitting her job at Copelands, Shay tries to implement her business ideas into Tray's food truck. Cousin Bobby prepares for his new job as an exterminator.

The crew enters in a block party food truck competition in this episode referencing "Do the Right Thing." Tray starts a petition to stop the reconstruction of an old and soulful apartment building in Brooklyn.
