The 24 contestants enter the MasterChef kitchen and are greeted by legendary chef Gordon Ramsay. When they get over the shock he tells them will be here for the entire week to mentor them through the first stage of the competition. He introduces the new judges and a new era of the competition begins, with everyone extremely excited to start the first cook.

It's day two of Gordon Week and today is a service challenge day with Gordon Ramsay himself running the pass. Gordon praises their efforts from yesterday, saying that he tasted some of the best food Australian has to offer right here in the MasterChef kitchen.

It's day three of Gordon Week and the winning team from yesterday's service challenge are back to cook. Today, the challenge is a Round Robin Relay. In teams of three, they have 60 minutes to create a cohesive menu, including an Entrée, Main, and Dessert. Each team member will start on a course, but every 20 minutes they swap places so they all have a turn on each course.

Lynton, Sarah Clare and Callum delivered the best menu in yesterday's team challenge and now have a chance to win immunity from the first elimination. However, one huge obstacle stands in their way - keeping up with Gordon Ramsay.

It's the end of the first week, and it's time for the first elimination for MasterChef Series 12. Nobody wants to be the first person sent home. Our twenty-four contestants are all Back to Win.

It's week two in the MasterChef kitchen, except our 23 'Back to Win' cooks aren't in the MasterChef kitchen today. The judges have summoned them all to St Kilda Beach for the ultimate BBQ challenge, cooking for 1200 people.

For the first time ever, today is a two round pressure test, set by Jock, directly from the menu at his Adelaide restaurant Orana. The losing team from yesterday's service challenge (Laura, Tessa, Brendan, Reece, Khanh, Ben U, Courteney and Chris) will cook in the first round, with the bottom three cooking in the second round, where the worst dish will be sent home.

It's the first Mystery Box of the season and judge Melissa Leong has chosen the contents; cherries, coriander, Manuka honey, black vinegar, Chinese Five Spice, taro, King George Whiting, chicken feet, spring onions and galangal.

The five top cooks from yesterday's Mystery Box (Sarah T, Laura, Ben U, Khanh and Reynold) will compete for immunity from Sunday's elimination. Round 1 is a MasterChef favourite - a taste test! For round 2, each contestants can only use the 24 ingredients in the dish they tasted.

It's the second elimination challenge and the contestants arrive at the MasterChef kitchen to find it empty, apart from a TV screen. They watch videos recorded by each judge that show a selection of delicious meals they treat themselves to. The ingredients featured in the judge's videos are all available in the pantry - the contestants must use those ingredients only.

Today's team challenge is three rounds, and each round will have a theme. The theme for Round One is "From the Sea". However, not everyone will cook in Round One - instead the teams have to decide on one contestant to be their champion. Whoever cooks the best dish, will save their entire team from tomorrow's Pressure Test, the losing team will go into today's Round Two.

Today is a pressure test like no other, it's a Cook Your Own Pressure Test. The blue team (minus winner Khanh) were asked yesterday to go home and write their recipe for a dish that would blow their minds, in the same way a traditional Pressure Test dish presented by a guest chef would.

Today is a Mystery Boxes challenge like no other. There are only four ingredients in each mystery box and each box contains a different four ingredients. The contestants must barter with each other for the ingredients they want. The only rules, they must end up with four ingredients and they must use all four ingredients in their dish.

In today's immunity challenge, Sarah T, Laura, Jess and Callum will compete in a reverse auction, bidding for ingredients from four different categories: protein, miscellaneous, fruit and veg, and herbs and spices. The time they bid will be deducted from their cooking time. The contestants then have to cook using at least one item from each of their purchased categories.

The third elimination challenge is already here. The judges reveal today will be a two-round challenge, with the bottom five dishes from the first round going into Round Two. From there, the least favoured dish will send its maker home.

It's the start of Suburban Takeover Week, and today our contestants are taking over 'Thai Ute' restaurant in the in the outer Melbourne suburb of Ringwood East. When they arrive, they are divided into two teams, Orange and Aqua.

It's Suburban week and the losing team from yesterday's Thai challenge are in today's Pressure Test. Wearing black as they walk through a suburban Melbourne neighbourhood are Reece, Amina, Ben U, Simon, Laura, Emelia, Rose, Poh and Tessa.

Today, our remaining eighteen 'Back to Win' home cooks aren't in the MasterChef kitchen. They'll be facing a unique mystery box challenge out in the leafy suburbs of Melbourne. As the group assembles for the unveiling of the mystery box, Melissa reveals an empty box, but before long a procession of local neighbours arrives bearing a bounty of home-grown produce and ingredients.

Amina, Emelia and Tracy are competing for immunity today after an incredible cook in the Suburban Growers Immunity Challenge. For today's challenge they will cook five Asian inspired dishes each for the Ganbare Kaz Sushi Train, and they'll be feeding not only the judges, but the other contestants as well.

Today marks the fourth elimination in the MasterChef kitchen for Season 12. Nobody wants to be sent home because all our contestants are Back to Win. This week has been all about the suburbs where the contestants have been all over Melbourne, and now they are back in the MasterChef Kitchen.

Today is the first in a week of Twists. Contestants are told only to expect the unexpected. Challenges will all start off 'nice and normal' but at some point, they won't know when or where, a twist will be thrown into the challenge. And this first one's a beauty.

It's Twist Week and today is the immunity challenge. Poh, Sarah T, Simon, Reece and Reynold enter the kitchen, having most impressed in yesterday's Mystery Box challenge. The contestants have really felt the pressure of all the twists they've faced so far and are feeling apprehensive about the impending cook, not knowing what might come their way.
