Planeta Ziemia II

David Attenborough przedstawia w jaki sposób zwierzęta żyją w wymagających warunkach.

While mountain ranges are some of the planet's most spectacular landscapes, few animals have what it takes to live in the harsh habitats. From snow leopards to grizzly bears, the secret lives of mountain creatures are revealed.

Jungles provide the richest habitats on the planet where animals attempt to survive in the most competitive place on Earth. Forests are home to jaguars and flying dragons, and the night conceals creatures never filmed before.

The brutal extremes of deserts shape remarkable stories.

Animals endure the most hostile seasonal changes on the planet to survive in the grasslands. From Asia's saiga antelope to the anteaters of Brazil, grassland animals have adapted in extraordinary ways to cope with these extremes.

While cities may seem an unlikely place for animals to thrive, they can be a world of surprising opportunity. Peregrine falcons hunt among New York's skyscrapers and in Ethiopia, locals live in harmony with wild hyenas.

Cities are the fastest growing habitat on Earth but, for animals, life in the manmade world is not easy. Some are successful - Leopards prowl the streets of Mumbai and Peregrine falcons hunt amongst New York's skyscrapers. Many creatures, however, are struggling to cope in the urban jungle. As the architects of our future will we choose to build cities that are home both for us and for wildlife?
