On a foggy night in Baltimore, Maryland, Sergeant Major Krohn becomes worried when his wife does not return home promptly after running a quick errand. Krohn decides to look for his wife and when he finds her, she is bleeding to death in an alley.

Louis Cellucci is having a rough time aboard the flight deck on the U.S.S. Benjamin Harrison. Moments after he walks away from another failed attempt at fixing an F-14, shouts of “Man overboard!” are heard across the deck.

A Russian submarine glides through the sea and close behind is an American submarine. Cmdr Flagler and Chief Petty Officer Curley listen intently on their headphones when suddenly they hear an explosion. The Russian submarine has gone down.

Mic represents a civilian wrongfully jailed in a Navy brig; he settles with Harm and Bud. Gunny goes to New Mexico to pick up a Marine who disappeared after his service in the Korean War. The admiral goes fishing and winds up in a firefight.

Terrorists aboard a service boat approach a US. Navy destroyer in a port in the Mideast. Harm and Mac investigate when a security team stops a boat and finds explosives and a female Marine sergeant.

In Mazatlán, Mexico, Mike, Bud's brother, becomes involved in a barroom fight with a local, who later dies. Harm and Bud, with help from Bud Sr., eventually discover the cause. Mac successfully defends a Marine bulldog in a paternity suit.

A Marine sergeant in prison needs Harm's help again when his prints are found on a murder weapon.

Congresswoman Latham and a colleague watch four Marine jumpers jump into the ocean from an M22 Osprey. With two Marines left to jump, the plane is struck by a swell in the ocean and Harm and Mac are instructed to investigate.

Harm receives a message from his ex-girlfriend. Harm returns the call and is devastated to find out that Parker is dead. Eager to help, Harm immediately makes plans to meet with Agent Kenworthy who will be leading the NCIS investigation.

With only moments to spare, Admiral A.J. Chegwidden hastily oversees the final preparations for Lt. Colonel Sarah “Mac” Mackenzie and Mic Brumby’s engagement party.

Mac is asked to lecture at the U.S.S. Naval Academy and scrambles to put together her speech where she talks about the tragic journey of the U.S.S. Somers, en route to New York in 1842 -- an actual conspiracy to commit a mutiny in 1842 at sea aboard a brig of war.

Harm misses Mac's rehearsal dinner by doing his semi-annual carquals. He and Skates are forced to eject from an F-14 Tomcat at night during a storm at sea. A rescue helicopter picks up Skates, but Harm remains unfound adrift at sea.
