A new season means a new chance at glory, that is if all hope isn't lost on day one from team president Kristy Fullbright engaging in some extracurricular activities with the Bulls' brand-new starting quarterback. With a new roster full of new characters all in need of significant attitude adjustments, the stakes are as high as ever to bring the Bulls to a championship.

T.D. becomes the Bulls' offensive coordinator, Kristy explores the possibility of building a relationship with the new quarterback, and Dr. Death learns how to manipulate the impressionable rookies into doing pranks for them. Things go awry when Dr. Death and one of the rookies end up in prison, and a rift grows between T.D. and Kristy.

Coach Denardo gets crankier than usual as he begins contemplating his mortality on his 65th birthday, leading some players to pay his wife to take him out on the town and show him a good time. On the field, T.D. learns his star rookie, though admittedly talented, has a humility problem that jeopardizes the team's fluidity and must be addressed one way or another.

Zagreb is identified as the snitch selling revealing information and pictures of the Bulls to the media. Bubba and Jethro want in once they discover a reporter is willing to pay $50,000 for shots of Kristy and Mac's wedding. After a bachelor party, Mac arrives home to find a prostitute waiting for him. He declines, but Kristy arrives and mistakes Mac for cheating, thus jeopardizing the wedding.

The team falls under a wave of injury spells, with Dr. Death neglecting a potentially serious neck injury and Bubba mistaking a concussion for a terminal illness with thirty days to live. Confusion and mistakes are abound when Dr. Death perceives a rookie's effort to get him help as an attempt to steal his job, and when Bubba mistakes his wife's dog's prognosis for his own.

Mac and Kristy's marital problems leak into their professional relationship after Kristy threatens to bench Mac when he intends to sign an endorsement deal that conflicts with his contract. The situation improves initially with some help from the Coach, but the blaring conflict of interest resumes when the incompatibility of their arrangement becomes a distraction to the team.

Miles is caught in a sticky situation when his girlfriend accuses him of getting her pregnant, while Zagreb reveals his gambling addiction has led to him being exploited into throwing a game. Both are thrust into predicaments when neither knows exactly how much they can trust themselves to properly compose and present themselves in their moment of personal growth.

Jethro and Bubba come across a briefcase filled with cash, while Mac's ex re-enters the picture with the unexpected news that they are not legally divorced. With Kristy's and Mac's celebrity statuses commanding national attention and publicity, the new developments has left the couple between a rock and a hard place, and it isn't much easier on the rest of the team.

The Bulls team becomes trapped in a hostage situation at Bubba and Jethro's bar when armed robbers hold everyone against their will, alleging to free the roster and their guests of their captivity in exchange for one million dollars. With everyone's lives on the line and the future of the bar in jeopardy, nobody is quite sure what comes next for the Bulls.

Bubba is invited to participate in a celebrity boxing exhibition, and despite everyone else's encouragement, he is terrified to potentially injure himself. Kristy's film major niece comes to town to film a highlight reel of the players, all of whom take a strong liking to her. Zagreb, who was filmed getting intimate with the filmmaker, might be caught up in more than he can handle.

Dr. Death gets off on the wrong foot with the new equipment manager, who appears to know more than he lets on. Subsequently, Zagreb begins falling for a woman he believes to be a prostitute. Both find themselves in over their heads as their situations continue with them knowing little to nothing about their counterparts, and face little help in deciphering their respective situations.

On a dark and stormy night, some of the guys kick back and fantasize about how different their lives might have been had they pursued professional interests other than football. They explore the roads not taken and the paths that could have been championed. Despite the various pleasantries they've admittedly missed out on, they all agree they wouldn't change their current lives for anything.

T.D. is extended an offer he can't refuse as the president of the Bulls' Texan opponent, bringing his loyalties to the forefront and forcing him to question his destiny. Meanwhile, the shady equipment manager attempts to get between Jethro and Bubba to commandeer their bar and profits. After some soul searching, T.D. realizes his place can only be with the Bulls.

Tombstone Packer becomes distracted by his fascination with aliens, a recurring theme that has begun inconveniencing coaches, cracking up players, and stinting Packer's preparation for the playoffs. After Dr. Death reveals it was all an elaborate prank, Packer is initially reluctant to believe it, until he decides it's better getting even than getting mad.

The players treat a romance-overloaded Putz to a recap of their various romantic escapades, including all the embarrassing conquests the various players have endured on their many quests for sexual gratification. Their many run-ins with insanity and legal ramifications have led to disarray in the past, but now amuse the players in humiliating retrospect.

The Bulls are in another championship game, this time against an opponent who is always ten steps ahead of them. With so much on the line, especially with several veterans mulling retirement, the stakes could not be higher for one last national victory. With a mole inside the organization selling secrets to the other team, it will take everything the Bulls have to return to their further glory.
