Akagi tried to end the match in Game 5 by not letting South Hand 4 end, but Washizu makes a getaway in the very last moment. After Game 5 ends, Akagi's side has won an incredible 572.5 million Yen, leaving Washizu with only 27.5 million Yen. Ougi and Yasuoka believe that victory is close, and Yasuoka can't contain his excitement.

In Game 6, East Hand 3, Washizu manages to win a dealer double yakuman (tsuuiisou, shousuushii) and puts a huge gap of almost 100,000 points between himself and Akagi. Only 6 hands to go... The white suits are thrilled and overjoyed at this point gap that is incredibly difficult to overturn in Washizu mahjong.
