The film is about men who, as KGB agents, served in the Cold War. While working in England, they developed a deep love for the country, subsequently forming The English Club in Moscow, a regular meeting place for former KGB agents who were once stationed in the UK. The program follows these men and their old colleagues from Moscow to England, the scene of their former triumphs and failures.
