An egotistical, womanizing performer in an 1870's traveling show believes his destiny is forever changed when he buys a unique gun that turns him into an expert marksman. Eager to capitalize on his new talents, he abandons his wife and turns his back on his employer. Venturing out on his own, he realizes too late that the very thing that granted him success also has the power to take it away.
