The beautiful young girl agrees to help Theseus as long as he promises to marry her and take her to Athens. Theseus agrees, so Ariadne brings in Daedalus, the famous architect and inventor who built the Labyrinth. And so Theseus, Ariadne, and the other Athenians set sail.

King Minos of Crete commissions Daedalus, an architect, to construct a massive labyrinth in order to imprison the minotaur, a half man, half bull. But when the hero Theseus falls in love with the King's daughter, Daedalus helps the warrior navigate the maze in order to slay the monster. When the King finds out, he banishes Daedalus, along with his son Icarus, to the center of the labyrinth.

Dionysus is the Greek mythological god of wine and also of the theater. Ariadne is best known as the daugher of King Midas and would later on become Dionysus' wife. However, it wasn't always this way. A chance meeting on the island of Naxos brought this pair together after the hero, Theseus, left Ariadne stranded.
