Jez's old flame Big Suze returns with her boyfriend, spurring Jez to end his relationship. His girlfriend's promised a threesome, though, so he's conflicted. Meanwhile, Mark gets mugged and starts to question his manhood.

Mark and Jez's old school friend Merry offers Jez and Super Hans her pub, but she becomes more and more unstable. Mark's intentions with Sophie are frustrated when Sophie moves to Bristol for work.

Thinking he'll have the flat to himself while Mark is on a business trip, Jez organizes a magic mushroom party with Big Suze. But, when Mark stays home with a gastric flu, his plans go down the toilet.

Mark and Jeremy have a disagreement when Jeremy hits on his sister, but things are looking up when Big Suze comes to stay.

Fancying himself a maverick upholder of justice, Jez goes in for jury duty and gets involved with the cute defendant. Mark's got trouble of his own, having been asked by Johnson to discipline Sophie for her recently suffering attendance and conduct records.

Desperate to fix his floundering relationship with Sophie, Mark plans to propose on a weekend away. Jez comes along, bringing Super Hans, who's going cold turkey off his numerous addictions. Mark starts to have second thoughts, and Jez is jazzed when Big Suze asks to come down.
