Pure Hunting Short Films

Willi and Tom Petry met in Iowa with good friends, the Wrights to hunt turkeys on their farms. Willi and Tom drew the first season in Iowa and had the first kick at the cat for the spring. They had hunted deer with Cody and Cassie but neither had hunted turkeys in Iowa. They were hoping for a little luck with the gobblers, and they knew they were going to have a good time trying. kwhunting

Willi and Tom Petry drew the late season muzzleloader tag for Iowa after an invitation from Tom’s friends, Cody and Cassie. Willi had never hunted Iowa for deer and not wanting to wait for 4-5 years for an archery tag, he took advantage of the offer. It can be a great time to shoot a big buck with the deer focusing on food, but the weather needs to be right.

Willi heads back to Ohio to hunt a lease with good friends, Nick, Tom and Jason. He had a unique hunt the previous year on a golf course. They didn’t lease the golf course this year, but it was the same group hunting a familiar piece of property.

Willi got an invitation on a late season whitetail hunt in Oklahoma. He was joined Tom Petry for a rifle hunt on a property he had no history with, but it did have some good deer and lots of wild horses.

Willi learns a black bear was on the carcass of the bull elk he had shot just days before. He hopes to sneak into the carcass on his Bakcou Scooters for a chance to shoot the bear.

Good friend Mike Stone invited Willi to hunt his family ranch in Oklahoma. Good friend, Tom Petry went along to film for his school, “Film The Hunt” and hopefully capture Willi shooting a good, Oklahoma buck.

Willi and friend, Rob Shaw hunt whitetails with their bows with Phire Creek Outdoors. They both are hoping Phire Creek and Kansas live up to their reputations of big whitetail bucks.
