Dreaming Whilst Black

A friend offers to pass Kwabena's script to a production company and he's faced with a major decision due to a work conflict. Later that night he meets Vanessa for the first time. Season premiere.

Kwabena struggles to balance work as a food delivery driver with fundraising for his film. Funmi sets him up with a gig filming her aunt's birthday party. Amy pushes for a promotion while Maurice is anxious about the arrival of his first child.

Kwabena and Amy meet an industry exec at a diversity mixer. Vanessa's friends grill Kwabena over dinner at a fancy London restaurant. Amy continues to struggle at work while Maurice decides he and Funmi should go vegan.

Kwabena is having a hard time finding a new place to live. Funmi goes into labor, requiring an emergency c-section. Kwabena's aunt asks Kwabena to pass her son's resume to his old colleagues. Vanessa reveals a major career development.

Kwabena moves back home with his mother. William encourages Kwabena to pitch a film inspired by his cousin. When Amy tells Kwabena she's moving back to Nigeria he asks her if she will produce his film. Maurice and Funmi argue over circumcision.

Kwabena and Amy finish their film. Vanessa and Kwabena struggle to find time for one another. Kwabena receives an offer but an accusation from his uncle makes him wonder if he sold out his morals in his search for success. Season finale.
