The Best of Jack Benny

On board a cruise ship returning from a vacation in Hawaii, Jack falls asleep and dreams that a woman sitting next to him has turned into Marilyn Monroe. Bing Crosby, George Burns, and Bob Hope make special guest star appearances.

Police Lt. Jack Benny questions notorious killer Babyface Bogart about a murder. Jack also attempts to persuade Gregory Ratoff to cast him in a new film instead of Vincent Price. Humphrey Bogart makes a special guest star appearance.

Jack turns down an invitation to attend a New Year's Eve party because he has a date with his new lady friend, Gloria. Soon, however, he finds himself at a "party" with his new date, Rochester. Also, Jack holds auditions for his new show.

Jack dreams that he and Mary have been married for the past 21 years, however, Mary is the one who goes to work, and Jack is the homemaker. Also, Jack is haunted by a dripping faucet. After finally falling asleep, thieves break in.

Jack panics when Rochester calls him while on set to inform him that his Maxwell car has been stolen, so they immediately visit the opulent Beverly Hills police station. Also. Jack and Bob Hope go on a hunting trip in Africa.

It is Rochester's day off and Jack must fend for himself around the house. Jack Benny holds tryouts for undiscovered talent who wish to become regulars on his talent show. Jayne Mansfield makes a special guest star appearance.

Jack is awakened at 4:00 a.m. by a phone call. Later that day, exhausted from lack of sleep, a visit to the clothing store with Mary turns into a big ordeal. Also, Fred Allen attempts to get Jack fired so he can be chosen to replace him.

Jack is determined to complete his Christmas shopping in one afternoon and tortures a salesman in the process. Also, on the anniversary of Don Wilson's 27 years on air with Jack, he and Jack recall the day Don showed up for an audition.

Jack invites celebrity friends over to the house for one of his weekly jam sessions. Also, The Beach Boys appear in a skit with Jack and Bob Hope, and Jack manages a roadside hamburger stand that is taken over by a gang of tough criminals.

Jack attempts to weasel tickets to Disneyland out of Walt Disney for 110 guests. Also, Jack Benny, Bob Hope, and Elke Sommer perform a skit on Italian movies, and to primp for the show Jack visits a swank Hollywood barbershop.
