Paula is about to celebrate her first wedding anniversary. A professional offer from the magazine she works for puts her in the awkward position of having to decide about her own life, but a routine medical check-up is a warning that she has not got much time to make up her mind. Lidia meets up with Toni in a bar. They both enjoy a night of passionate love, but Lidia doesn't want any ties...

Lidia is still suffering after losing Lluis, her husband. What's more, the tribute that the co-workers want to organize for him forces her to think about him all the time. Writing the speech for the end of the event drives her to a profound crisis. Paula finally tells her husband about her diagnosis.

Marina- Joana's daughter- overhears a suspicious conversation by her father and tells Arlet about it, who prefers not to tell the secret. For her part, Arlet day by day becomes a bit closer as a friend to Dani, in whom she finds a perfect balance... quite the opposite from her boyfriend, who she feels very fond of, but she can't bear him invading her space. Cruz focuses efficiently on her job...

Once they all know about Paula's illness, all the friends, except Lidia, insist that she fight and get it operated. Paula instead chooses to show them her new home, where she always rendezvoused with her lover. What was meant to be a dinner among friends turns into a debate about whether or not surgery is the best option... Paula's husband follows her to where she lives...

Arlet can't understand how her mother still looks after her husband after all the pain he caused her. Joana is convinced that Francesc is cheating on her. Cruz and Lidia want to help her to sort things out. Paula keeps on calling Marc, her lover, but he won't pick up the phone. The girl suffers her first hallucination and starts to hear voices.

Paula tells Marc, her lover, who feels happy for having found her true love. The groups of friends are introduced to Marc, who convinces them that he is very much in love with Paula. Joana is crushed because of what about with Francesc but she is able to keep her composure in the presence of her friends. The woman recognises Cecilia, but decides not to say anything to her.

Cruz and Joana are at the bank when a robber bursts in and threatens them. Lidia has no choice but to confess to Albert that she is having an affair with someone else, but she won't reveal to him who she's having it with. Thanks to Toni, Lidia finds Lluis's secret office. Paula and Marc are getting married in two days' time. His son, Adria, is arriving today. Joana is worried about Marina.

Arlet shows Victor the flat she has rented. The radio informs of Dani's injury. Victor travels to Belgium and Arlet calls Dani to arrange to see each other. Lidia is still obsessed with Lluis and Marta's tapes and it's not long before she realises that her whole life is full of lies. Paula has inherited an aunt. Cruz hasn't told anyone that she is pregnant, but Joana tells Paula about it.

Lidia gets a call on her cell phone: Toni has had an accident and it seems very serious. Eduard and Cruz get dressed to go to Raimon's burial. Oriol blames Joana for the kiss she gave Peter. Francesc comes to visit the children and Joana tells him that she is now working at a supermarket. Oriol runs away to find his Dad, and ends up finding Cecilia.

Toni settles in for a few days at Lidia's to get totally recovered. He goes to visit his grandmother and realises that someone else, apart from himself also visits her. Cruz has anxious dreams because she is not sure if the baby she is expecting is Eduard's. Robert wants to see the movements in Abadal's bank account, and Cruz tries to distract him by saying that she is pregnant.

Maria accuses Paula of being too selfish. Marc suffers at seeing that Adria does not wish to stay in the flat with Paula. Toni tells Lidia that he has already confronted his past, and now it is her turn. Eduard clearly looks forward to having a baby, but when he is left alone he calls Jesús and summons him to fire him. Arlet's parents arrive at the flat with no warning and ask for Victor.

Paula does not feel well and she has cancelled her sessions with the healer. Marc cares for her as best he can. Maria bumps into Marc, Paula's ex-husband, and by chance she tells him that she and the baby are suffering. Lidia recovers her activity restoring furniture. Even though she does not tell Albert everything he finds out that the psychiatrist is having an affair with Toni, and he fumes.

Joana can't help giving Peter a cold shoulder and asks him for some time to digest the situation. Francesc realises that the relationship between the two has not caught on. Marc asks Paula to undergo surgery, but she is not sure what to do. Maria takes Adria to Marc so he can spend one last day with his father before leaving.

The group of friends joyously and hopefully talk about Paula's decision to undergo surgery. However, the doctor tells her that it's too late now for surgery. Marc misses his son. Lidia has received two invitations to go to the presentation of a magazine and she expects Toni to go with her wearing a sports jacket.

Arlet tells Dani that she has had the same dream again: she is chasing Marc, but can't catch up with him. Lidia tells her that maybe her dream has something to do with fear of losing something. Paula feels utterly shattered. Cruz and Marc, her former husband, give her support, but she can't snap out of it. Her friends try, too, but Toni is the only one capable of get a smile out of her.

Paula seems in quite high spirits even though tomorrow she is getting surgery. Dani does not really fit in with the rest of the group. Cruz believes that her presence makes the rest feel a bit awkward and less spontaneous. Dani drinks a bit too much and embarrasses Arlet in front of her friends. Toni gets a call from his mother asking for help.
