REIMA: The Curse of Evil Spirits

Late in the night, Rio suddenly receives a call from her elder sister Mao. During the call, a mysterious message appears on Rio’s computer screen telling her to find the “Demon Swordsman”. Hiromi and Mariko are reminiscing about their middle school days. They recall how they used to do “Test of Courage” together by going into an abandoned schoolhouse.

Mao vanishes, leaving behind 13 addresses and a mysterious message. Rio leaves her hometown to find her. Meanwhile, Mika is excited to finally go on a date with Yuma, her upperclassman she adores. Yuma suggests they go to a forest park, where it is said that couples can truly come to love each other. However, this is the same forest many young women have gone missing over the past few years…

Rio visits one of the 13 addresses Mao left behind. She discovers that a gruesome murder had taken place there. A man named Kazuya Nonomiya lost his beloved wife. Rio later finds out that he was the writer for the ghost program Mao had appeared on. In hopes of learning more about the meaning of the 13 addresses and solving the mystery, Rio visits the television station that Kazuya works at.

The Kashina residence is seemingly ordinary at first glance. Outside the home is a plaque inscribed with the resident’s names: Yusaku, Eiko, Mizuki, and Takashi. Are all 13 addresses places where evil spirits committed atrocities? What is the true meaning behind Mao’s messages? Will Rio ever find the demon swordsman?

A little girl appears before Shiori. She stands on the edge of the red bridge, and shortly after jumps off. Shocked, Shiori looks down at the river below but sees nothing but water. Just as Shiori tries to take out her cell phone, she stops. The little girl who had just jumped off the bridge is now standing right in front of her. And then, the little girl jumps off again…

Kazuya doesn't normally believe in ghosts. However, the fact that one of the 13 addresses on Rio’s list matches with the location of a recent murder gets his attention. Novelist Kohei Muraki is having a writer’s block. One night, after he and his family watched a horror TV program, Kohei leaves the house feeling inspired but goes missing soon after. Rio goes to inspect his disappearance...
