Affairs Of The Heart (1983)

Is there life after a heart-attack? Peter Bonamy - about to be discharged from hospital -believes there could be. Even, he thinks, normal life. Now it's just a question of convincing his family, his friends, his doctor and, above all, his wife.

Peter Bonamy returns from hospital after a minor heart attack. An elderly neighbour, Miss Nesbit, suspects there is more wrong with Peter than just a heart attack. Jane and Rosemary Bonamy soon have reason to agree with Miss Nesbitt's opinion.

Peter Bonamy is trying to follow doctor's orders and enjoy a quiet recuperation at home after heart trouble, but noisy neighbours upset his tranquillity.

Peter Bonamy has been advised not to concern himself with money matters while he recovers from his heart attack. His wife and partner Simon, conspire to make him wish that he had kept full control of the family finances.

Unable to drive until he's completely recovered from his heart attack, Peter Bonamy finds it almost impossible to surprise his wife with an anniversary present.

Peter's sister Margery and her children arrive unexpectedly to announce the impending arrival of Archie, a difficult relative with acute hypochondria. A plan is devised to get Archie to leave so they can all go to the country for the weekend.

Now almost ready for work Peter and the family decide to stay with friends in the country for a relaxing weekend. They quickly wish that had stayed at home in Richmond.
