The Tomb Of Ghost Blows Out The Light

Hu Bayi and Fatty Wang often work together, they use Feng Shui - from a book - to help them make a living and earn money. Subsequently, they always encounter many strange events. Some years ago, when they were younger, their village had some chicken stolen from families all over. Seeking justice, they went off to Tuan Zi Mountain to find the culprit who they suspected was stealing chicken.

That night, in the snowy mountain, Hu Bayi and Fatty Wong found themselves inside a cave, where there was a mysterious tomb. This discovery excited them! Fatty Wong hope it was his chance to get rich. But after a thorough search of the coffin, they could not find anything of worth. After leaving, they spotted the yellow weasel, caught it and went back down to the village.

The next day, Hu Bayi went off to find the person who patrols the woods, HuaMei. He wanted to find out more about the woods and mountain. One of the old villager said there are monsters living in the woods, but Hu Bayi was not convinced. Meanwhile the weasel made an escape and they ran off to recapture it. Fatty Wang found some mysterious golden beans on the ground. HuaMei was suddenly taken ill.

Xu Erheri, wandered off into the deep mountain alone. He encountered a white dog in the graveyard. After thinking, he took the dog with him to the mountain. Meanwhile, Hu Bayi and others had also gone into the woods, to find a bear. They had to fight it, but later they realise that the bear is not the most frightening thing in the mountains. There were ghostly spirits that stood in their way.

Everyone returned to the forest hut in one piece and made soup out of Bear's gall for HuaMei. HuaMei was revived by it and slowly recovered. Hu Bayi continued to ponder about the mysteries of the mountains. There was the legend of Tuanshaizi, where golden treasure was hidden and during this time there were strange deaths and demon sightings in the village.

Curious and wanting to find out more, Hu Bayi tried to re-create a map he had seen. He wanted to find the place of treasure, which should be in the middle of the map. In the meantime, Xu Erheri set fire to the chicken coop; when Hu Bayi ran out to put the fire out, Xu Erheri tried to steal the "Sixteen Yin and Yang" Feng Shui secret book, as well as the map.

Hu Bayi, once again, entered the dense forest, along with some of the other villagers. This time he was using a compass to try to find the location of the treasure. They walked round and round, until they eventually fell into a dark cave. Inside there, came sounds of strange and violent weeping sound as if from a curse woman reached their ears, frightening them.

Hu Bayi walked around the cave with a torch and discovered many dead bodies, one of which belonged the betrayer Xu Erheri. Upon further discoveries, they found there are many interesting relics hidden inside, including a copper box. With some luck, the group found their way out and was able to return to the village unharmed.

The next day, Hu Bayi and Fatty Wang received a letter from an old friend, Ding Shitian whom they met in Beijing. Hu Bayi and Fatty Wang decided to go to inner Mongolia to meet Ding Shitian and learn more about the Revolutionary experience. Their friend, Yanzi from the village, also followed them to Mongolia. When they were united, they went out horse-riding.

Whilst they were out horse-riding, they encountered a storm coming their way and the horses were terribly frightened. There was lightening and thunder in the sky. After the storm passed, a local farmer there said it was not an ordinary storm but the spirit of the Demon Dragon of Mobei. It seems like they always encountering strange events.

During their stay Hu Bayi and Fatty Wang were able to witness a Mongolian gathering, where the festival included a dance. There were villagers reminiscing on the past war when the Japanese stationed nearby and the terrors that followed. The next day, they went to the stables and found some horses missing. When they looked towards the sky they saw a strong and angry wind was gathering momentum.

Hu Bayi and the others tried to find places to hide from the wind. When the wind finally died down, the old sheep farmer again said, it was not an ordinary storm but an act of the demon dragon monster. Hu Bayi not believing thinks the horse maybe be in Baiyan cave nearby. He took out his Feng Shui book and tried to find the location of the cave. A search party set off later that day.

At the mouth of the Baiyan Cave, they found a passage leading underground. They all went in and found it was an old storage for military supplies, that the Japanese troops had used. Suddenly, they found they were trapped inside when the iron heavy gate came down and shut them in. Unfortunately, they were not alone in the cave and there was a nasty spirits waiting for them.

Somehow, the party managed to escape the ghost and a power generator was found. Fatty Wang turned on a switch and the cave was no longer dark. There was another struggle with the ghost and other deadly creatures and after they found themselves in what looks like a normal room. There was a desk with a Russian handwritten diary, which seemed to be written decades ago.

Ding was able to make some sense of the diary and found it was written by a Soviet man, a descendant of the Tsar. They discovered that he was a man of science and realised that this area was used for many kinds of experiments. Ding advised that the fume from the plants around were poisonous and the vicinity of the Baiyan Cave was haunted from a long time ago.

Still inside the cave, they slowly realised that the air was indeed poisonous as there were corpses and foul smells in all corners. One by one they began to feel unwell. They continued to search the cave and the space was in fact much bigger than they had thought originally. Unfortunately, there were many more deadly demons and spirits to be encountered and they almost lost their lives.

Ding was slowly dying after breathing in the poisonous air for so long. Then, a strange corpse appeared and there was more fighting with all the demon creatures. Somehow Hu Bayi was able to start a fire and it helped to fend off the creatures. After some time, they found a cooper box inside a wooden coffin. The box had supernatural powers, and many believe it can bring the dead back to life.

Everyone wanted the cooper box for themselves. It seemed to have a strange power over everyone who touches it or even looking at it. Hu Bayi tried to break the spell with a distraction. He knew the box was dangerous and if opened would bring many catastrophes; maybe even more deaths. What else could it bring back. Suddenly a strong wild wind began blowing outside.

A scene of thousands of old buried bones coming alive along with other ghosts and wolves. Hu Bayi tried to shoot the girl handling the box. As soon as the girl fell, the sky returned to normal and the thousands of skeletons collapsed onto the ground. But the nightmare was not over suddenly millions of small white insects and worms crawled out of the corpse bones towards them. How will they escape?

The scene is suddenly back to the sheep farmer. He had been ill for some time and sensed he will not live to see daylight. The weather continued to be unsettled and a storm looked to be brewing. In a flash, it had been 20 years, Hu Bayi was sitting in an airport looking at an old photo, getting ready to catch a plane to America. This has been his plan all along; finally, he can make it happen.
