Bulldog Drummond Comes Back (1937) introduces John Howard in the role of Capt. (ret.) Hugh "Bulldog" Drummond, army officer turned adventurer. This time out the race against time mounts up, as Drummond's fiancee Phyllis is kidnapped by an old enemy, who is planning something grisly for the both of them (in a death-trapped room and a series of challenges and clues that would tax James Bond).
