In Los Angeles, Tyler Florence meets teams fighting to win the grand prize. The first challenge has them going high class, selling one $20 signature dish. In San Francisco, the teams can only sell a NEW signature dish.

The seven remaining teams head to Portland, OR, where Tyler challenges them to go the entire first day without restocking their supplies. On day two, they're given geoduck, which must be the main ingredient in all menu items.

In Pocatello, ID, the teams purge all meat and potatoes from their menus, then dig potatoes for new menus. After making $300, they race to the Idaho Potato Museum, where the team with the lowest weekend sales is eliminated.

The five remaining teams meet Tyler at Mount Rushmore, then head to Rapid City, SD, to shop. They meet at the Cheyenne River Ranch to butcher a side of bison to use in all their dishes.

The four remaining teams enter the Twin Cities -- Minneapolis and St. Paul -- where they must serve food on a stick and use SPAM as their main ingredient.

The teams face a pizza challenge judged by Chicago's mayor, followed by an energetic Speed Bump and a hot dog challenge. Finally, the first team to arrive at Mike Ditka's restaurant gets a five-hour head start to the next city.

In the Great Food Truck Race finale, the teams cover the East Coast: Annapolis, Chesapeake Bay, the Virginia suburbs and finally, Washington, DC, where they learn who wins a new food truck and $50,000.
