After a field day incident, Jyouji Ema starts to strangely get harassed by his eccentric classmate, Miyoshi Hayashi, who keeps asking if he is cute. Observing his other strange behaviors, Jyouji becomes further intrigued as he finds himself wondering about the other boy’s actions and thoughts.

A two-part story where Hayashi meets Megumi Matsuya, a girl who shares their love for books, and Yutaka Komatsu, a third-year middle school student, who suddenly asks him to be his model.

Every day, Shoutarou Yamada must listen for one thing at school. A voice yelling "Run, Yamada!" by Masahiro Senoo, a bully, who makes him rush to the school store to buy him whatever lunch he wants that day. And watching this interaction from above during lunch time is none other than Hayashi.
