It’s a quiet day in the lab and Chris and Joy are bored, talking about their favorite Superbook adventures. Superbook takes them to the time of Moses, who doubts he is the right person to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. After the plagues, the exodus, and the parting of the Red Sea, Moses proves to be the right choice. Back home, the kids wonder if this was their best adventure yet.

During a family camping trip, Chris ignores the rules and gets himself, Gizmo and Joy trapped in a dark cave. Superbook takes the kids back to when Moses ascends the mountain to confer with God. Left without rules, the Israelites fall into moral chaos. Moses returns with the Ten Commandments and Chris learns the importance of following the rules, leading to a happy ending at camp.

Superbook takes the children to meet young David as he brings food to his brothers on the battlefield. Though small, David volunteers to face Goliath, the giant who is taunting Israel. With God’s help, David defeats the giant. Chris realizes he can face his own challenge of playing before a live crowd. When they return home, he confidently auditions and earns a place in the band.

Chris won't confront a bully until seeing Daniel face death for doing what is right.

Christmas chaos fills the Quantum home as Chris treats the nativity like just another decoration. Superbook takes the kids to Bethlehem, where they learn of Herod’s plot and travel with Mary and Joseph to Jesus’ birth. Witnessing the angels and shepherds, they discover the true meaning of Christmas. Back home, the family refocuses their celebration on Christ.
