Behind the scenes at the Australia Zoo, it's mating season for the alligators. With deadly animals underfoot, routine maintenance at the zoo can be a dangerous task. The staff handles a swarm of angry bees that sink their stings into Kelsey and Darren.

Questions arise over the future of Ivory the koala. Ruby the alligator needs a life-saving injection when she has difficulty laying eggs. And Steve places himself in danger when he raids Connie the croc's nest.

Steve's best friend Sui recovers from a life or death operation. Meagan and Rick rescue one of Australia's strangest animals, the echidna; and the hazards of feeding the world's largest reptile predator, the salt-water crocodile are revealed.

Australia Zoo is gripped by wedding fever as Kelly and Richard finish up last-minute details before tying the knot. The staff attempts to concrete a pond with a croc still in it. And Ivory finally transitions into koala society.

At the zoo, an orphaned kangaroo joey arrives to be rehabilitated, and Darren's foot trouble gets very serious. Later, Terri and Steve welcome baby Bindi into the world.

Wes and Steve try to remove staples from a python's head and then try to get another into a bath. Jodie and Kelsey arrive with three new female sugar gliders. The US and Australian women's water-polo teams visit the zoo. And a croc prepares to lay eggs.

Vets perform a dangerous life-saving operation on a king brown, Australia's biggest venomous snake. The Zoo staff struggles to check out Agro's sore cloaca, and Steve suffers an emotional loss when Australia Zoo's matriarch dies.
