Drifter Singin' Sandy Saunders (Wayne) stumbles into a town where the crooked James Kincaid is attempting to drive the local farmers off of their land by demanding an outrageous price for his water.

Accused for a murder he did not commit, John Brant (Wayne) escapes his jail cell and heads out west. On the lam from the law, Brant teams up with gunslinger Lane Chandler and his band of bandits, never suspecting that Chandler is the murderer he was mistaken for.

Rodeo star John Scott (Wayne) and his sidekick, Kansas Charlie (Eddy Chandler), are wrongly accused of robbing a bank. To prove their innocence, they pursue the real culprits to Poker City, where they attempt to bring them to justice.

Pony Express rider John Blair (Wayne) is out of work because of the new telegraph system. But when Blair is given the opportunity to win a $25,000 government mail contract in a race, an evil stagecoach owner, Cal Drake, does whatever he can to knock him out of the running.
