On their father's death, rational Elinor Dashwood and her romantic sister Marianne's privileged world is thrown into chaos. With no entitlement to his estate, they are forced to live in poverty. Although the sisters' chances of marriage seem doomed, attractive men are drawn to the girls. A mix of sense and sensibility must prevail if the sisters are to find love and happiness.
