The Ultraman

As people evacuate from a tsunami caused by an earthquake in the Pacific Ocean, a mysterious flying object appears and rains down fire. Mutsumi guesses that it could be the work of a monster that roamed the earth several hundred million years ago. Immediately afterwards, Lava Monster Firebadon appears along with an explosion from an undersea volcano.

The Science Guard Party analyzer, a robot named Pig, picks up a danger signal of unclear origins, but is unable to detect anything strange. Pig is assumed to have broken, and a new robot is assigned to Pig's job, and Pig flies off. When Hikari and Mutsumi chase after him, they find Electronic Monster Combugon.

Hikari encounters monster Mikonos while investigating an unidentified flying object, then transforms into Joneus and drives it away. Later, a TV station receives some film that was shot of the battle. The rest of the film depicts Ultraman's Secret. Hikari tracks down the man who delivered the film, and it turns out to be a trap set by Space Ninja Alien Baltan.

Investigators visit ancient ruins on Tamara Island, and spot Monster Dolfiego in an underground cavern. Of the group, three people are brainwashed by Dolfiego and then begin firing mysterious rays and destroying things. The Science Guard Party arrives on the scene, but Dolfiego, speaking through the three, demands that they leave.

A famous magician, George Satake, tries to teleport himself from the Xalome Desert to Japan. However, what appears in the special venue in Tokyo is the translucent figure of Monster Xalome. Shortly after, Xalome fully materializes in a residential area. Hikari transforms into Joneus, shrinks himself down to micro-size, and flies inside Xalome!

Former Earth Self-Defense Force technician, Ogawara, uses the giant Bulldozer Weapon Hectole he has developed to dig into the earth in the Himalayas, and exterminate monsters. However, a Liquid Monster enters Hectole and transforms into Machine Monster Hectole, who goes on a rampage.

Two tankers are caught in a storm and disappear. The Science Guard Party take the case, and discover three monster attacking the tankers. Pig analyzes the calls of the three Monster Opt brothers that live under a single shell, and attempts to communicate with the youngest monster brother, San.

At Lake Ryujin in Tohoku, an incident breaks out where people and fish are being turned into stone. Kinoshita, a resident of the lake area who knows about a legend of a dragon, holds a Ryujin Festival to try to calm the dragon. The Science Guard Party discovers Monster Garadoras when it reacts to the sound of the festival drumming and comes up from the bottom of the lake.

An unidentified celestial body approaches Earth, and emits radiation that makes reptiles violent. The Earth Self-Defense Force attacks it with a missile, but the attack fails due to the appearance of Monster Zyclone on the asteroid. Joneus flies to space to take on Zyclone.

Marume complains that Hikari is never around at the most important moments. Monster Goglan comes out of an egg that was brought into the plant research institute. Hikari chooses to fight it with his own abilities and doesn't transform into Ultraman, but Marume is injured during the battle.

The Science Guard Party gets a report that an island has sunk at Point 3167, and as they head toward the location, they receive word that a luxury ship, the Safran-maru has captured a strange bird while at sea, and they visit the ship. When the ship's doctor gives the strange bird an electric shock, it transforms into a giant monster bird King More and takes Mutsumi away!

Tobe, who had been observing a strange typhoon using Beatamy, discovers Prof. Nishiki's helicopter which has crashed in the desert. After saving the professor, Tobe continues to follow the typhoon, but Beatamy is attacked by a swarm of locusts.

A sea serpent emerges at South Uki Island, the hometown of Yuriko, who works in a coffee shop on the Earth Self-Defense Force Far East Zone Base. Yuriko, who lies and tells her father living in her hometown that she has joined the Science Guard Party, goes to South Uki Island instead of Mutsumi, along with Hikari, Tobe, and Marume.

Joneus struggles with monster popping up in countries around the world. He makes a last-ditch effort and manages to defeat Guerad, but Janur appears afresh. Joneus has no more energy and runs away, but a monster shows up in the United States and he fights it. However, without enough energy, his strength fails him Hikari ends up losing his life as well.

Hikari is brought to Ultra Planet U40 where he is resuscitated back to life. Hikari meets Joneus' sister Amia as well as Elek, Loto and other Ultra People, but Joneus has used up all his energy on Earth and is unable to recover from being separated from Hikari. Meanwhile, war breaks out between U40 and the Badel Tribe.

The Badel Tribe manipulates the legendary Monster Bagon from Dark Nebula and attacks U40. Hikari and Amia go to fight the Badel Tribe, but their fighter jet is shot down, and although Hikari escapes, Amia is taken captive. Hikari merges once again with the revived Joneus and goes back to fight.

The Science Guard Party are spending their vacation in Marume's hometown. There are frequent occurrences of ships sinking, so Marume and Tobe go to investigate, but Marume goes missing. Marume wakes up in a ship's graveyard and hears a strange voice. It is the voice of Monster Sarmoth who has fallen from another dimension.

Mysterious flying objects are attacking passenger planes and industrial complexes. Hikari's former classmate Aoki from the Far East Zone Air Defense Force cooperates with the Science Guard Party but Aoki's rivalry with Hikari who worked for EGG 3 disrupts their teamwork and the attack fails.

A mysterious flying object appears in the Southern Alps. The Princess of Alpha Centuri's first planet copies Mutsumi when she goes to investigate in Bardy, and infiltrates the Science Guard Party. The princess, who was the target of an assassination attempt from the fifth planet, has fled to Earth.

Incidents begin to happen where men go missing whenever a yellow wind blows through the African desert. The Science Guard Party travels to the desert in Super Murdock. There, Hikari disappears into the yellow wind as though possessed by something.

A strange phenomenon of water spraying out of the sea is happening around the world. As a result of Pig's analysis, it is determined that it is a message from the earth itself to humanity, asking it to leave. Is it possible to fight the earth? The Science Guard Party are overcome with anxiety.

The Ultra Planet U4o detects the approach of the Space Demon Alien Baladon. The Great Sage dispatches Elek, Loto, and five Ultra warriors, but the Alien Baladon's spaceship goes into warp and disappears. The Great Sage sends a warning written in Ultra script to Joneus on Earth.

The Science Guard Party captures a monster that appeared in a coastal industrial area just as the newly assigned Captain Gondow arrives in front of them. The members rebel against the captain's incomprehensible orders, and decide to act on their own, however, the captured monster revives and even more new monster appear...

Invading Alien Jadan sends out countless UFOs. The Space Self-Defense Unit goes out to fight them off, but the alien succeeds in invading Earth. The Science Guard Party shoots down the UFOs, but Jadan possesses a human, infiltrates the Far East Zone base and destroys the system before changing into Monster Jagon.
