Of Girls and Horses follows Alex, 16-year-old misfit and school dropout, who has been using drugs and cutting herself. Her mother has signed her up for an internship at a farm to work with horses, as a last chance to find balance in her life. There, Alex meets the privileged Kathy, and an unlikely friendship begins to grow. One weekend, they are alone at the farm and things get out of control.
