How I Caught The Killer

In May 2001, Christopher Donovan and his brother Philip were on a night out together when they were attacked by a gang of youths. Christopher was punched and Kicked to the floor and repeatedly kicked in the head by several of the thugs.

14-year-old Chyenne had been missing for a year and a half. The Chief of East Brook County Police Force contacted Dave Hachmeister who had recently headed up a new task force to help solve cold cases. Bulgarian Housekeeper Gregana Prodonova was reported missing on 8 August by colleagues after she failed to turn up for work at the Great Western Hotel in Exeter. Gergana's naked body was found 12 days after she vanished when a railway worker noticed a foul smell on the embankment. She had been stuffed in a suitcase and it had been thrown over a wall onto the embankment.

On the 22nd November 1983, Detective David Baker received a call saying that the body of a young girl - Lynda Mann - had been found dumped in the bushes. After a thorough and extensive investigation, there were still no leads and the case went cold.

Lead Homicide Detective John Cabrera was called to a mobile home in Sacramento where the body of Phillip Inhofer had been found bludgeoned to death and his Mercedes Benz gone. The murder was so brutal John assumed the killer was male and started to gather evidence.

On the 24th July 2011, a body was discovered around 08:45 BST by an elderly couple lying in an alleyway between two houses. She had been strangled, then bludgeoned to death with a brick / lump of cement. Finger marks were discovered around her neck, she had been sexually assaulted.

In January 2002, police were called to the block of flats in Camden by a neighbour complaining that someone had vandalised her front door and that she strongly suspected Anthony Hardy who lived next door. When the police investigated Hardy's flat, they found a locked door, Hardy claimed not to be able to open it but police found the key.

Detective Jon Buehler is called at 3am. A man had been shot in street outside Jack-in-the-Box restaurant in Modesto at 2am. Jon gets there and has the street taped off. There is an outline of a body, a pool of blood and a shell from a gun. The victim is identified as Samoan Sula Palega, a home town hero, basketball and American football star from San Francisco.

Detective Mike Southwell was manning a quiet local police branch in Hampshire when he received a report that a disabled woman in her 60's had gone missing. Leah Rosenthal had not been seen for 48 hours, it was totally out of character and as she had mobility issues, it was unlikely she had left town alone.
