Alain Guiraudie is at the top of his game in this sinister and slyly funny thriller, where violence and eroticism explode with little anticipation. Starring Félix Kysyl and Catherine Frot, the French director's latest feature follows the exploits of a seemingly benign out-of-work baker who, after the death of his beloved former boss, begins to casually insinuate himself into his mentor's family.
