Ken Andou's been training hard for six months to join the DC cleanup organization, but a robot mishap on the last day puts his chance of being hired into jeopardy. Suddenly, that hardly seems important when a rampaging battle mech appears and only Ken can drive it away!

That mysterious mecha keeps appearing and causing more destruction! DC unveils their own secret battle robot, Balcion, to fight back. But who's going to pilot it? Ken finds himself in a rivalry with Lyune Frank, the daughter of DC's founder Dr. Frank, with his hard-earned job at risk!

Things are tough for Ken and his coworkers. Nanase's been demoted for speaking out against arming the cleanup mecha. Mizuki's still bothered by that strange box she found, and she discovers the records of it have been wiped. They begin to suspect there's something sinister afoot at DC.

Balcion and DC's newly weaponized robots face off against the invader, but when Lyune ignores orders to retreat, a terrible tragedy occurs. It seems as though the new DC cadets have lost something irreplaceable, but when the invader reappears in the very same spot, so does a glimmer of hope.

Mizuki is still shaken by the strange things she experienced in the alien world of La Guias, but Ken, Nanase, and even her own family struggle to believe her. Unfortunately, the sinister forces within DC seeking to eliminate her and the evidence that she witnessed won't wait.

DC holds a press conference and tour of the building to explain the live-fire accident that nearly killed Mizuki, and Ken's father takes advantage of the opportunity to search with her and Ken for the suspicious box she saw. In doing so, they discover its terrible secret.

After being taken to a sanatorium near Mount Fuji, where Psybuster was last sighted, Ken's sister Sayuri finds an injured man in the woods. When Sayuri goes missing shortly afterwards, Ken enlists DC's help to search for her, unaware of their keen interest in the man she found.

Holding Masaki and Sayuri at gunpoint, Commander Saphine takes control of the situation and of Psybuster. All hope seems lost for the trainees suspicious of the enemy's true aims, but as he helps secure Psybuster for transport, Ken makes an incredible discovery.

Ken, trapped in Psybuster's cockpit and unable to communicate, finds himself facing off against the enemy's battle robots - and against Lyune, piloting Balcion and equipped with a deadly new beam cannon. As DC reveals its sinister motives, he no longer has any choice but to fight!
