After Jon and Ponch stop a speeding sports car, they arrive at the scene of a camper (driven by guest star Troy Donahue, "The Godfather: Part II") that has crashed over the side of a hill. Later, Ponch is the star performer at a disco party.

Citizens forbid a truck loaded with volatile chemicals to pass through a town. So Jon and Ponch escort the dangerous convoy over remote mountain roads.

Jon worries when his nephew falls in with a gang of unruly teenagers who joyride in stolen automobiles. Meanwhile, two jewelry thieves use a movie stunt car for their getaways, but the car is rigged to shoot off smoke, oil and fire. Danny Bonaduce ("The Partridge Family") guest stars.

A television news crew creates bad publicity for Ponch and Jon when they air edited news segments that make the officers look bad.

Ponch and Jon encounter the same speeding drunk driver on several occassions and must deal with a group of skateboarding kids who cannot stay out of trouble.

It's Halloween night, and Jon and Ponch investigate the disappearance of a little boy in a haunted house. In other action during the night, a "ghost" robs supermarkets and a mysterious woman steals candy from trick-or-treating kids in the neighborhood.

Ponch's vacation plans are ruined when a gang of female car thieves steals his beloved, newly-rebuilt Firebird. In addition, Jon's wallet is stolen as a relentless streak of bad luck afflicts the duo.

While investigating a string of drive-in-bank robberies, Ponch is baffled by a visit from his mother.

While Jon and Ponch take part in a department bio-rhythms study, Ponch's lady-trucker friend is feeling threatened by hoods trying to muscle her out of business.

A young hitchhiker succumbs to a rare illness after being taken into custody by Jon and Ponch, putting the CHP headquarters on a quarantine alert.

Jon and Sindy train a BMX team for kids. Ponch puts a kid who has been vandalizing his school on the team. Meanwhile, Sgt. Getraer's son has a bad accident. The Sargent feels so guilty that he makes mistakes at work.
