From selling cinema tickets and fast-food, Amar Nath (Amitabh Bachchan) comes a long way to become the Assistant Commissioner of Police. Part of this is courtesy a corrupt politician named Shankar Narayan, who grooms Amar to be his pawn, as a cover for all his illegal activities. When Amar's wife, Asha, discovers this sham, she has but one thing on her mind, how to save her husband.
