Linda learns that Brian killed a private investigator hired by his wife. Paige's romance blossoms while her mother tries to make money by taking photos of an extramarital affair.

Brian reacts viciously when he learns Linda's revealed his whereabouts to his ex-wife. Paige is fired when she takes a project away from the Sumner Group. Anne poses nude in a chic magazine.

A suspicious Sumner investigates Claudia's convenient fainting spell and discovers it's a real problem, unlike the suicide attempt she later stages to win back her furious daughter.

Realizing that Linda's murder is low priority for the police, Greg sets out to find Brian. Kate reconciles with her scheming mother Claudia, Frank sleeps with his new girlfriend and Anne begins negotiations to do a call-in radio show.

Paige outwits Sumner to help her boyfriend's company, Kate and Joseph begin a romance, and Anne's new radio show is a success. Brian kills the detective Sumner hired to find him.

Benny loves Anne, who doesn't return his feelings. Joseph and Kate are in love. Pierce's former girlfriend is out to make trouble. Frank's girlfriend, Debbie, wants more from him.

Brian keeps his gun pointed at the members of the MacKenzie family while he waits for a call from Sumner. He finds out that Meg is Sumner's daughter and demands money from Sumner.

Victoria and Sumner plot to ruin the energy project. Victoria knows a dark secret about Pierce's past. Anne moves into her own place due to the success of her show. Frank ends his relationship with Debbie.

Mack worries that Sumner will try to take his daughter back. To get money, Benny pretends to fall where Anne works. Sumner tells Paige that Pierce once murdered a woman. Pierce, suspected of suicide, returns.

Gary's bank loan is in question because of Pierce's boating accident. Jason has ambivalent feelings about going to Sweden. The MacKenzies host a Christmas party. Paige asks Pierce to leave.

Greg Sumner and Claudia plan to find a new job for Joseph. Alex Barth makes trouble for Claudia. Mack warns Paige about Pierce.

Paige finds out that Pierce's late girlfriend was pregnant. Joseph takes another job. Gary shuts down the Tidal Energy Project and tells Val that they'll lose the ranch.

Karen is asked to do a TV feature on the Ewings. She refuses and leaves the show. The ranch is auctioned off, piece by piece. Alex finally tells Claudia why he's visiting and tormenting her.

Gary accepts a job managing the ranch. Sumner brings Olympic champ Mary Lou Retton to Meg's gymnastic competition. His relationship with Anne becomes intense. Victoria and Pierce exchange favors. Paige goes back to work for Sumner.

Pierce is beaten and told to avoid Paige. Val is asked to write Greg Sumner's biography. Sumner hires Alex. Claudia sleeps with Alex who dates her daughter, Kate, against Claudia's wishes.

Val gets Sumner's cooperation for her book on him. Pierce buys a rifle and makes a death threat to Sumner. Kate's friend and houseguest, Vanessa, intrudes in every aspect of Kate's life.

Paige has been shot by Pierce. The MacKenzies, Anne and Sumner rally by her side. Will she totally recover, die, or be paralyzed?

Paige's chances for a full recovery become more optimistic. Sumner tries to tell Paige that he loves her. Val Ewing is on the verge of uncovering a secret about Sumner and Meg. Pierce kidnaps Paige.

Pierce hides Paige on a boat. Karen becomes resentful of the time Mack and Anne spend together. Val receives shocking information about Meg.

Paige helps save Mack and Sumner after they fall overboard fighting with Pierce, who remains at sea. Kate and Alex have a date. Val confronts Sumner when the "mystery woman" disappears.

Mary follows Meg. Val learns that Mary was in prison. After Sumner and Paige make love, he ignores her. He announces he's leaving The Sumner Group. Despite Claudia's warning to Alex, he makes love to Kate.
