Labyrinth of Peace

Spring 1945: Peace in Europe presents great challenges for three young people. Klara, the daughter of a Swiss manufacturer, takes care of young refugees of the concentration camps returning home. Her husband Johann wants to avert the ruin of his family's company. Meanwhile, his brother Egon hunts Nazis who are hiding in Switzerland.

Egon searches for a German who is on an Allied black list. While looking for a loan for his synthetic fiber project, Johann encounters seemingly insurmountable hurdles and seeks advice from an influential lawyer. And Klara wants to fulfill a cherished wish of the residents of the home.

Johann brings the German engineer Schneider and his family to Switzerland - the first important step in his plan to save the family business. Egon learns that Scholz was a wanted man in the highest Nazi circles. Can he put him in jail? Klara searches for a thief in the refugee home.

Klara falls out with Johann and commits a serious mistake. Johann's synthetic fiber project is on the verge of a breakthrough that could save the family business. Egon finds out firsthand during his investigation that he has been messing with some very dangerous people.

Johann learns from Egon that Wilhelm Scholz and Carl Frey robbed Jewish families. The young entrepreneur realizes that his synthetic fiber project was probably financed by criminals. And Klara has to find a new home for Jenkele because of the closing of the home.

Jenkele's disappearance ends in tragedy. In the process, Klara discovers that she is pregnant. Egon is about to arrest Scholz and Frey. Johann is in a dilemma: If he cooperates with the authorities, he loses the company. If he does not, he loses Klara and Egon.
