Long Ride Home with Bear Woznick

Members of the long ride home pack land in Hawaii and take care of their first order of business renting their motorcycles. At the motorcycle shop they meet up with Bear's friend and talk about biker brotherhood, faith and standing together.

We open with a continuation of the conversation at Halona blowhole cove to talk about the upward yearning of man and virtue of justice. The next morning Bear strolls down the beach in Waikiki and meets up with his friend Leleo Kinimak. They talk story about faith and Bear gets a hydrofoil surf lesson from him.

Bear relates surfing and God's creation to the Catholic spiritual life. Bear and David Pu'u talk story about surfing's tribal elders and how that can be related to the early church fathers and saints of the Catholic faith. Haole to Da Max paddles out.

Members of the long ride home pack get a chance to paddle in a Hawaiian outrigger canoe in Waikiki with Father Scott Circe leading the way in front. Bear narrates on how paddling altogether relates to Christian fellowship.

We open with the pack rolling thunder in pre-dawn darkness all the way to Makapuu Beach to meet with legendary Big Wave Rider and North Shore LIfe Guard Clyde Aikau. Clyde talks story about his brother Eddie's heroic sacrifice in his attempt to save the members of the capsized Voyaging Canoe the Hokulea.

At Makapuu beach the Men learn the ancient Hawaiian martial art from Kainoa Li and his students. As a Catechist, Kainoa speaks on the role of men in society, family and the Catholic church. Then we revisit our conversation with Franciscan University graduate Dallas Carter and how the Catholic church is the ark of salvation.

We conclude Dallas Carter's conversation on the Catholic faith and then the next morning the pack rides out to the north shore of the island to go skydiving. The men start freaking out about actually jumping out of a plane. Will they jump? The saga of Haole to the Da Max continues..

The Long Ride Home pack rides up the winding dangerous road to the Tantalus lookout near the top of the crater. The men get gritty when they share their personal testimonies.

We open with the men rolling thunder on the north shore. We get to see another part of the conversation with Clyde about his wipeout and near death experience on a nearly one hundred foot wave. Bear narrates on how the mountain waves of Waimea bay are like the summit of our faith - The Eucharist. Jeremaih Woznick shared his lessons on life and spiritual lessons learned riding big waves.

Bear coaches Doug Barry on surfing in Waikiki and Doug rides with style. Then Jason Jones, Doug, Bear and a young member of the film crew, talk about manliness and the contradicting culture that seeks to marginalize men. The men pay their respects at Pearl Harbor.

We revisit the conversation at the blowhole cove where the men talk story about God's Love. Each member reflects on their experience riding through all of the seasons of Long Ride Home. A montage of all the great moments and the impact of filming the series.
