Terese almost falls off the edge of a rooftop, but is saved by Paul. This prompts her to confess to drinking again and hiring John to get a file on Glen. This leads to an argument between Terese and Harlow, and Ned and Amy decide to keep their relationship non-exclusive.

Zara visits Amys apartment and discovers that Amy had two guys over. This leads to Zara being more interested in hearing about Amys night than her own story. Sheila attempts to impress the wedding planner, while Ned and Levi quickly leave, attracting the attention of Toadie. Roxy finds it amusing, while Zara confides in Amy that she needs her during the holidays.

Britney is trying to turn her life around and make amends, while Harlow is determined to uncover secrets about Glen and John Wong. Terese is conflicted about her feelings towards Paul, and Leo is still in love with her. Britney suggests a womens lunch to promote their business, and Paul has something important on his mind.

Tereses missing wedding ring is found in the hotel laundry, leading to suspicion and tension among her friends. Erinsborough High is in an uproar when a fire alarm is set off as a prank by new student Zara. Jane, the school counselor, tries to get Zara to explain her actions, while Amy, Zaras mother, punishes her. Kyle and Roxy are struggling with their relationship, and Kyle takes testosterone patches to improve his performance.

Ned and Toadie find Amy lying on the floor near the park and call for an ambulance. At the hospital, Karl suspects Amy has a punctured lung due to her broken ribs. Toadie contacts Zara and she rushes to the hospital to support Amy. Karl explains Amys lung has collapsed and everyone is worried about her recovery. Terese is taking care of Paul and shows her caring nature towards him.

Terese and Paul consider going to counseling to work on their relationship. Leo plans to sue the council after a pole fell and caused a disaster at the bar. Terese and Paul have a counseling session where they discuss their roles in the relationship and Pauls guilt from his childhood. Leo discovers a safety report implicating Paul in Britneys death, leading to a heated confrontation.

Tensions are high as Leo accuses Terese of negligence in Britneys death. Paul consoles Terese, while Freya and Levi bond over a movie and a swim. Leo insists on suing Terese, but Chloe, David, Aaron, Jane, and Nicolette try to convince him otherwise. The episode ends on a lighter note with Freya and Levis budding romance and Nicolettes shopping list.

Amy unexpectedly runs into her ex-boyfriend Levi at a pub, and later finds out hes with Freya. Toadie and Melanie witness Zara being disruptive and offer her and Amy a place to stay. Freya expresses her desire to spend more time with Levi, and Toadie offers to waive Amys rent.

Roxys concerns about Freyas use of the police database put Levi in a difficult situation. Freya and Levi chat over coffee and Levi mentions Roxys awkwardness. Kyle advises Roxy to stay out of it, while Paul tries to persuade Terese to stay. Zara wants to hang out with her new friends, but Amy is hesitant.

Terese and Karl are concerned about Pauls health, while David and Aaron worry about Leos emotional state. Leo eventually agrees to go fishing with Ned, in an effort to take his mind off his troubles.
