In 1953, Sydney detectives investigated a string of cases so diabolical they created a wave of public outrage – women were adding rat poison to their baked good and feeding them to unsuspecting loved ones. Unlike popular images of domestic bliss, Sydney was a melting pot of violence, poverty and tension between the sexes during the 1950’s.
